Heard of TikTok? Sure you have! Well ByteDance is the owner’s of TikTok and also the owners of Pico, China’s VR headset powerhouse that are becoming a viable alternative to Meta. A few years ago Pico released the G2 headset, an Oculus Go competitor. The Pico G2 4K is a virtual reality (VR) headset that offers an immersive and high-resolution viewing experience. It is designed for both entertainment and professional (I mean porn) use, making it a versatile device for a wide range of applications. In this review, we will take a closer look at the design, performance, user experience, and applications of the Pico G2 4K. And most importantly, how it stacks up as a tool to watch VR porn.
Design and Build Quality
The Pico G2 4K has a sleek and compact design (in my opinion anyway) that is both lightweight and comfortable to wear. OK, it won’t win any design awards but is certainly not ugly! It features a black matte finish with a minimalistic aesthetic, just like the headset it competes against the Oculus Go. The dimensions of the headset are 7.5 x 4.3 x 4.3 inches, making it easy to carry and store when not in use. The materials used in its construction are of high quality, ensuring durability and longevity. Honestly, I would say that this headset mirrors the comfort that I got from my old Oculus Go and is perfect for wearing during long VR porn sessions!
When it comes to comfort and fit, the Pico G2 4K excels. It is designed to be worn for extended periods without causing discomfort or fatigue. The adjustable head strap ensures a secure and snug fit, while the foam padding provides cushioning for the face. The weight distribution is well-balanced, reducing strain on the neck and allowing for a more enjoyable VR experience. As someone that wears glasses, the Pico G2 can easily be worn with my glasses, although this may vary depending on how big your glasses are. The Pico G2 4K boasts an impressive display quality and resolution, especially for the price you can get it for now. With a resolution of 1920 x 2160 per eye, this is pretty much on par with the other top headsets out there right now. The recently released Meta Quest 3 only has a slightly higher resolution at 2064 x 2208, for example. The OLED display technology ensures deep blacks and vivid colors, enhancing the overall viewing experience. The high refresh rate of 75Hz gives a solid VR experience at this price point.
Under the hood, the Pico G2 4K is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 graphics. This combination delivers fast and responsive performance, allowing for seamless navigation and gameplay. The device also has 4GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient app performance.
Other highlights include a solid battery life coming from the 3500mAh battery, which can be charged through USB-C. Personally, I can easily get 1.5-2 hours of VR porn use in one sitting. Although you probably won’t need the microphone, it exists and gives an OK performance, just in case you want to try out some VR social interaction:)
I would say that the audio output from the Pico G2 is not the best, but you can simply use the 3.5 mm jack to use your own headphones, which solves this problem easily.
In terms of connectivity options, the Pico G2 4K offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. The only downside to this (over a direct cable connection), is that the video quality is slightly compressed. The upside is you can watch your VR porn literally anywhere you get a wi-fi connection 🙂

Setting up and configuring the Pico G2 4K is a straightforward process. The device comes with a quick start guide that provides step-by-step instructions on how to get started. The initial setup involves connecting the headset to a compatible smartphone or PC, downloading the necessary software, and calibrating the device for optimal performance.
The user interface and software of the Pico G2 4K are intuitive and user-friendly enough. If you have used any modern operating system you will find it simple and easy to navigate the Pico OS environment too. The software is regularly updated, ensuring compatibility with the latest VR applications and games.
The issue you may find when it comes to software is that the Pico G2 might not be officially supported in your country. However, Pico has a much more open ecosystem than Meta, so you can easily sideload any apps you need (i.e. load it through a USB flash drive plugged into the headset’s USB port or by downloading and installing directly through the Pico browser).
My Experience of the Pico G2 4K Hardware
I have had my particular Pico G2 headset for almost 2 years now, and I am still thoroughly impressed by the hardware. It has an excellent resolution and viewing experience for the price. The only issue is that after about a year, the controller gave up the ghost. Although I did have the exact same issue using my old Oculus Go. In fact this was why I bought this headset in the first place. So this is clearly a running issue! But I can still fully operate the headset using the buttons on the side of the headset, fine for the purposes of watching VR porn. And replacement controllers are pretty cheap if you really need a controller. The other slight issue is that for me personally the viewing distance of my eyes to the screen is good but not perfect. To get it crystal clear I need to wear the headset slightly forward on my nose. Not ideal but I don’t find this a major issue personally.
How is the VR Porn on the Pico G2 4K Headset?
This is where this headset excels. For the fraction of the cost, you have a headset that is great for watching 4K porn videos. The clarity and the video frame rate is amazing at 4K. I actually own a Pico Neo 3 Link headset too, and when I compared the two headsets the G2 4K is not far off in quality. It is just limited to 4K videos. But for me this is more than enough quality for VR porn.
And, best of all, Pico provides their own Remote Play Assistant software. I simply download the videos on my desktop, add them to the Remote Play Assistant and then watch on the Pico headset connected by Wi-Fi to the same network. The streaming is seamless and the quality excellent.
To be honest, I haven’t tried downloading or streaming videos directly from the headset, but you should be able to do this. And if the videos don’t play directly from the VR Porn websites, you could always sideload other VR video player apps to solve this. This headset works with 2 official stores, the Pico Store and the Viveport store, so by sideloading these store apps you could get more VR player options there.
How Much is the Pico G2 4K Headset?
This is where many of the downsides of the Pico G2 4K headset fade into distant memory, as this headset is currently SO cheap. With other headsets coming out, the G2 has really fallen in price. The only downside is you will probably have to buy this headset in China as it is not currently being sold in other territories. The G3 is available but is much more expensive, which takes you out of the budget friendly niche 🙂
At the time of writing, you can currently buy the Pico G2 4K headset for $244 over at Ali Express. This is simply a great price for something that can play 4K porn videos so well.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts
As someone that has owned and used a Pico G2 4K headset for a while and has exclusively used it for Vr porn, I can say this thing is a beast. In the current VR headset market, you can’t find anything else around this price that can offer this level of quality. I actually prefer using this for VR porn over my Pico 3 Neo Link, as the quality is pretty similar, and I frankly don’t want to jizz all over the more expensive headset 🙂 With the cheaper G2 this is not a problem 🙂 Do you really want to ‘grubby up’ that expensive Quest 3 or Valve Index with your VR porn ‘activities’ to then hand the same controller and headset over to Aunt Jane when you have the family over and are showing them the wonders of VR?. I think not! For all these reasons and more, I love the Pico G2 4K for my VR porn use.
Some may argue to just use their own smartphone in a ‘Google Cardboard’ style device, but trust me when I say you will never get the same level of quality you get from a standalone VR headset.
This headset is perfect for those on a budget to try out VR porn, or for those that want a cheaper headset dedicated to VR porn use.
