BADoinkVR Review: No.1 VR Porn site??

Welcome back to VR Porn Bro and welcome back to another VR porn website review. Today we are looking at BadoinkVR, a site that has made massive strides since I first noticed them around 2016. Back then, I didn’t like their content, but they seem to have turned that around in dramatic fashion! So whether you have a Rift or HTC Vice, get it ready! This could be epic 🙂

I want to start by saying I completed my review using an Oculus Go headset. You may have a slightly different experience depending on the headset you use. Also, I paid for the subscription myself and will give you my honest experience with the product.

What is BaDoinkVR?

BadoinkVR was first on the VR porn scene around 2015, so not long after the first few sites had started to pop up. As I alluded to above, when they were first out, they suffered badly from quality issues, especially with the way they setup and operating their VR cameras. Vr porn has been a learning experience for Badoink. And this is from a pretty big porn company, who has done a lot of 2D porn in their history.

Badoink hales from Spain, and started out with mostly European performers in their porn. However, these days they have switched to mostly American ones. Most studios do this as they feel the VR porn market is the biggest in America.

Badoink VR has spawned a wide range of other sister VR porn sites, from 18VR to VR CosplayX. They are going all in on the whole VR porn thing, it seems! I wonder what network sites will come next!!

BadoinkVR often been at the forefront when it comes to helping VR become more mainstream. They once handed out 10000 Google cardboard devices to allow people to watch VR on their smartphones (albeit at a greatly reduced quality level). In fact you can pick up a free Google cardboard at the time of writing if you subscribe! They also openly support, partner with and support a wide variety of other VR porn studios.

How much is BadoinkVR?

Badoink VR has a pretty standard base pricing for it’s VR porn. Around $25 a month is pretty standard in the market. That does go dramatically down to $7.50 when you sign up for a whole year though.

Where is gets interesting is with all the offers they have. If you don’t immediately subscribe, you will likely be offered another more discounted rate before you leave. BadoinkVr seems to have got their marketing team in overdrive, and seems to want to sign up most people, even if it means taking a lower initial sale. I suppose this is what the backing of a bigger company can do.

How are their download speeds?

As I always say, download speeds are important to anyone who watches VR porn. File sizes are pretty massive these days, so we are want strong servers to make the whole experience faster. Please bear in mind that, although I have very fast internet, I live in Asia so your mileage may vary.

Badoink VR seems to be up there with what I have tried so far. They were consistently around the 10-11 mb/s mark whilst downloading a 3.54GB file. The whole file finished its download in 7 minutes. Pretty much on par with what I would expect.

What we like about BadoinkVR

After playing around with BadoinkVR for a while, this is what we liked about their service:

Backed by a big company

Although Badoink isn’t exactly one of the household names in 2D porn, in VR porn terms, they are one of the biggest. This has been made more obvious over the years with their rapid addition of extra VR porn sites. They even give you a free VR video a week from these sister VR sites as part of your BadoinkVR subscription, which is great to see. You really get to see the benefit of being with a bigger company.

Especially when you may have signed up to an annual or even lifetime plan to BadoinkVR, it is good to know that they are big enough to stick around for the long haul.

Competitive pricing

The standard pricing is pretty standard in the VR porn industry, but you will see they have a lot of offers and promotions. For the quality and variety on offer, you will feel like it is money well spent.

I also like the variety they have in their subscription options, starting from as little as $1 for a trial.

2D site included

It is a first for me to see a fully fledged 2D porn site included in a VR porn subscription. Maybe I have been watching VR porn for too long, as frankly I felt the quality of this site was pretty bad! However, its good to have such a benefit included.

Massive variety in content

BadoinkVR work with a great selection of performers, and offers a good variety of content on the site. They have been around since 2015 (a long time in VR porn terms), so you have access to a massive library of scenes.

The only thing to note on variety is that BadoinkVR is made as a middle of the road style porn site, so don’t expect to find anything too extreme or kinky on here (certainly not in great quantities). They have sister VR porn sites for this, such as KinkVR and BabeVR.

They also have regular seasonal events, which is great to see in any adult site. For example, right now they have a Christmas Advent Calendar event. This offers 24 free VR scenes from their group of VR porn sites leading up to Christmas.

These events are creative and clearly have a great deal of effort put into them. Most sites would just put up one or two Christmas related scenes at best 🙂 Although they can’t top my favorite site for crazy seasonal events (WankzVR), they are getting pretty damn close.

High quality content

The VR porn arena is no longer the Wild West of porn. It is actually getting pretty hard to find poor quality VR porn in terms of the angles and the way the porn is shot in 3D.

BadoinkVr has grown into one of the leading lights in the industry in terms of quality. I have watched many scenes from BadoinkVR and am yet to be disappointed by the quality offered. Gone are the days of massive scale problems or issues with camera positioning.

BadoinkVR also offers up to 5K video quality. Enough for all the popular headset resolutions out right now.

Not afraid to try things!

BadoinkVR always seem willing to have a go and try new things and make the vr porn niche more immersive! For example, I really enjoyed a scene they made called cum salutations. The start of this video is particularly interesting. The camera moved between two girls as they did various yoga poses. There was no talking at this point, it gave a voyeur style to this part of the video. Actually, I wished this part would have lasted longer, as I really enjoyed it.

I find that BadoinkVR is not afraid to move the camera around a lot, something that others may shy away from with the fear it will make people feel dizzy. In my experience, Badoink is able to do this really well and I enjoy it! They had a recent Christmas special where the start of the video was the camera roaming through a house. I loved it, and it really shows how you can mix up VR porn.

Supports wide variety of devices

I was really impressed when I first logged into my BadoinkVR account. They have a bar at the top of the site that asks you to select the vr headset you are using and offers to help you set it up.

Good Web Player

A lot of VR porn sites are trying to push you towards their preferred VR players, meaning that the playback facilities on the website itself can be less developed.

BadoinkVR has done a great job, even though they do still try to push you over to the SkyBox VR player (a player I really dislike!). When viewing their website through my Oculus browser, I simply click on the video’s play button and then the start button that pops up….and voila! I can play the video on their web player. Good job Badoink!! Other sites seem to make this simple process way too complex!!

Good Range of Downloads

BadoinkVR has done an excellent job providing us with a large variety of download types. This means you can easily find one that fits your headsets specifications better, and they include this for even the latest headsets. Anything from 4k to 7k is available here.

Excellent Feedback

BadoinkVR has made an excellent system for getting user feedback on each individual scene. You will see a box on each video that looks like this…

You can give a scene rating, which is then viewable on the scene selection screens. If you click ‘scene feedback’, you will go to a specific forum post to discuss this particular scene. It makes the whole process quick and effective, in my opinion.

What we don’t like about BadoinkVR

These are our current gripes with BadoinkVR:

Too much advertising!

I know I have praised the discounts on offer and the fact that Badoink can do this as part of a bigger company. However, I feel the marketing team needs to dial back one notch on the aggressiveness scale 🙂

Even after I had signed up with them, I kept getting regular pop ups advertising their other VR porn sites. They even have affiliate adverts for other VR sites they promote. All in all, I felt like I was being advertised to a bit much.

I understand the need for promotion, just not with repeated pop-ups and excessive adverts. Is it just me?

Actually, even with all this spamming, their marketing team seems to be missing out on some basic functionality to make more money! For example, try finding somewhere to upgrade your membership on their site and you will be stuck for quite a while!!

Where’s the Female POV?

Badoink VR started to offer female POVR porn videos, but the last one was in 2017, leaving them with only four female POV videos on the site. For such a major player in VR porn, it’s a shame they didn’t follow through with this.

Why the ugly border?

I watch most of my VR porn in 180 degrees, as I find it gives me the best experience with the current technology. Some companies (like CzehVR for example) like to add some branding to the border of their 180 degree videos, which I actually like as it means there isn’t just an abrupt line to mark the end of the video’s range.

However, for some reason, BadoinkVR decided to put their branding on this 180 degree line with a massive tab that pokes out into the video’s real estate. As I like to look around my videos a lot, I get to see this and man, is it ugly!!

I don’t have a lot to complain about, but this is definitely something 🙂

Would we recommend you subscribe?

For VR Porn Bro, BadoinkVR is up there with some of the top in the industry. You know they have the financial backing to be around a while, so no worries when you are subbing to them.

They simply have some of the best quality/ variety to price ratios on the market. The spammy advertising tactics are annoying, but not a deal breaker for me personally.
