Welcome back to VR Porn Bro, and today we are doing an opinion piece. VR porn is a new concept in porn, and there are still many questions around about it. Such as “How good is VR porn?” “Is VR porn worth it?” and “Is VR porn better than regular porn?” We intend to answer these questions today, and give some key reasons why VR porn is better than 2D regular porn. Both for the users and the porn industry in general.

1. The User is More Immersed in VR Porn.
When someone watched VR porn, they really feel like they are there in the scene with a real person. You can actually see the performers in 3D. This has had several benefits for me as a VR porn watcher.
The main one being that I feel less ‘dirty’ after watching VR porn. After watching 2D porn, I often get this feeling that I just did something seedy or ‘dirty’. I don’t think it is just me, I am sure that other people get this too.
However, after watching VR porn I never get this feeling. I believe it is because I feel that I am immersed in a real situation, rather than being a voyeur peeking into someone else’s sexual activities. I am no psychologist, but this is what I think is happening here.
I can remember when I first watched VR porn. Even though the headsets being used were lower resolution than today, it still blew me away with how real it all felt.
2. VR Porn Encourages more Natural Porn.
Personally, I don’t like the direction that regular 2D porn has been taking in recent years. I think the problem is that when you watch regular porn, it is like an escalation in needs. What you found arousing before might not be the case now. You start to get desensitized to the whole thing, and seek out more extreme porn to satisfy yourself. I am not saying that this happens to everyone, but I feel like it is quite common among 2D porn watchers.
For me, the natural and immersed feeling I get from VR porn helped me get back to basics and enjoy the simpler things in life. A regular blowjob or straight sex scene felt great to me every time whilst watching in virtual reality. I didn’t feel the need to watch anything more extreme. In fact, for me personally I had gotten into the habit of watching anal porn in 2D, but actually didn’t even like it when I tried watching this in VR for the first time!
So, the bottom line is that you will probably see less extreme porn, and less porn that is degrading to women in the VR world. There has been a trend for ‘brutal’ porn in the regular porn industry, and the problem is that it is often directed at ‘teen porn’ and younger performers. These younger performers may not fully understand what they are getting themselves into (even if they think they do), and may even feel pressured into doing these scenes because they haven’t been booked much that month or feel pressured by a director.
VR porn, on the other hand, encourages more ‘girlfriend experience’ type porn and less use of words such as ‘brutal’. It might just because the VR porn scene is still developing, but I live in hope that it is also down to the platform. Most VR porn scenes start with a life like conversation or interaction between the performers.
VR porn is helping us appreciate the performers for who they are, not just the acts they are willing to perform. It is helping us get back to porn basics again!
3. VR Porn is Better for Performers.
VR porn is better for the performers. Better pay, better working conditions and more respect from their audiences.
Why is this? Well think about the setup required currently to shoot good quality VR porn. You need a 3D camera setup costing many thousands, and you need knowledge of the best way to adjust the field of view and other angles involved in shooting VR porn well. This all points to a well funded and well thought out porn studio that would undertake such a project. Your average man in the street isn’t going to shell out multiple thousands of dollars to do this!
Whereas, with regular 2D porn anyone can buy a high quality 2D camera for a few hundred dollars, a tripod and voila …they can make simple 2D porn.
What this means is that when a performer chooses to work within VR porn, they are probably working for a pretty big and well funded porn studio. One that has the means to pay them fairly and make sure they are treated well on the set. Whereas, when they working in 2D porn, they could turn up to do a shoot and find a single person with a camera. This single person is more likely to not have the funds, and want to squeeze more out of the performers they hire.
Add to this what I said in point 2 (that VR porn is often less extreme), and you have an overall much better working environment when it comes to VR porn performers.
Finally, VR porn makes its fans feel like they are really there in the room with the performers. I think this will help us treat them more like real humans and not objectify them as much. VR porn stars can expect fans more in line with what regular performers (such as famous musicians) may get.
4. VR Porn will reduce Cheating!!
Oh boy, this is going to be a controversial one, I can tell. But, as stated above, this is just my opinion based on the experiences I have had with VR porn.
Because VR porn feels so real and immersive, it allows you to get down and dirty with a ‘hot’ partner without actually doing it in real life. Let’s face it, most normal people would never be able to get near those top tier model women. With VR porn it allows you to live out these fantasies in a digital world, lessening the feeling for you to do something to achieve similar in the real world.
It’s a fact of life for many people, that when they have been in a relationship for a long time, they might start to feel bored. I feel that VR porn would allow a release from this without actually cheating.
I suppose the flip-side to this, is that maybe you will be in more trouble with your partner if they find out you are watching VR porn, rather than normal 2D porn. Maybe that increased realness will make your partner jealous of your virtual reality lovers!! 5. You have more control over VR Porn.
One thing I love about VR porn is the control you feel that you have whilst watching it. You are able to look around whilst viewing this type of porn, and it makes a huge difference! I find myself sometimes looking around the room, wondering what is going on in the house around me, or focusing on a particular part of a performers body. You cannot do this in 2D porn, so if the director decides you are staring at a performers crotch, you have no choice ha ha.
It gives you much more freedom to decide the experience you want to have.
Well, there you have it! Our top 5 reasons why VR porn is better than regular 2D porn. Virtual Reality porn is new and still developing, but yet for me it is already leagues ahead of what 2D can offer me.
