What we like about Play’A
Great Settings
When it comes to VR porn, the viewing settings are one of the most important things. VR porn quality is still way better than it was when it first came out. But you might still see some instances when the scale of the performer is too large or you simply want to change the angle you are viewing the content at.
Play’A gives you access to all these settings on the fly. Playing with the zoom and angle of any VR video you watch with ease. It makes watching VR porn way more flexible, meaning you can tailor the look to exactly what you like.
As someone that likes to stream my porn, I liked how the stream quality settings were kept for all the different content I accessed on the platform.

Play’A is made by a company called Swearl LLC, and is free. I don’t see any paid micro transactions within the app either. Interviews with VRBangers suggests that they are behind the development of this app, although the link between themselves and Swearl is not clear to me. Anyway, whatever. The app is awesome and free, so it’s all good 🙂 VRBangers was the place I first heard about the app, so it seems legit!
I am using Play’A through the Oculus store on my Oculus Go, but the app is also available on mobile and PC platforms such as Steam.
Security
This is such a simple feature that I am amazed that not more people have copied! You can set the Play’A app to have a pin! After this pin is set, you will only be able to open the VR player and use it after you enter the pin. Genius.
As someone that enjoys VR porn, I don’t want the younger members of my extended family picking up my Oculus GO, starting a VR player and stumbling across the last scene I was enjoying. By locking the app behind a pin, this would never happen.
In fact, before the pin is entered all settings (including those relating to adult content) cannot be seen.
Perfect way to link to VR porn sites
This is another thing that I love about the Play’A VR app. They have come up with an excellent way to link your favorite porn sites to the app.
You can see in the bottom right hand side of the screen a tab that says ‘websites’, and after clicking through there you will arrive in a place where you can simply add any of the websites you want to regularly use. In my case, I can link ALL the VR porn websites I use.
These sites are then linked with the passwords remembered, and can be switched through with ease. This is such a simple and elegant solution which is perfect for the VR porn application.
Anything we don’t like about Play’A?
That Logo!!
Whoever designed the Play’A logo needs to go back to design school. I mean you can make a better looking logo in Canva in literally a few minutes!
In my opinion, the Play’A logo just gives the app a cheap and cheesy vibe to it, which is a shame for an app that is so awesome. When I first saw this app on VRBangers I thought to myself ‘oh this is just some cheap and crappy VR player made or endorsed by a porn company.” Although that turned out to be far from the truth, I am sure it has put many people off just from the apps outward appearance.
Do you prefer the logo I made below in three minutes?
Yeah, my logo isn’t great too, but it already looks more classy than the real logo! ha ha! Come on Swearl LLC, pull your finger out.
Doesn’t fully support all VR porn websites
As VRBangers are heavily involved with the Play’A app, their site works seamlessly through the app as you would expect.
I have been able to connect most other VR porn websites to the app, but you will not always see the full feature set. For example, on WankzVR I am not able to see the different filters for categories within the app.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some VR porn sites are actively making their sites not work fully with Play’A so they can push their own VR player. This would be a real shame, as we will end up with a fragmented and frankly annoying state for VR players in porn. We don’t want a separate player for each site we visit!!
Have you tried other players?
On my Oculus GO, I have tried most of the players available or recommended by other VR porn sites. And I am left amazed by how crappy they are.
My best example of this is DEO VR Player, an app that is recommended quite a lot by other sites. It is so simplistic it is ridiculous. No ability to lock the player, or any easy options to save and retrieve different websites. Even getting it to forget your browsing history is a nightmare! You would be better off just using a private session on the Oculus Browser and entering in your information each time.
