BabeVR Review [VR Porn for DUMMIES?]

Welcome back to VR Porn Bro and another VR porn website review. Today we are looking at another one of BadoinkVR‘s sister sites (they have a few!!) called BabeVR. Today we will find out if they are worth any time in your VR porn schedule 🙂

I will first start with some disclaimers! Firstly, I accessed the BabeVR.com content through the RealVR service. So I could view the content (the most important thing!) but wasn’t able to have full membership access to their site. So think of this as a lite review. Also, I did this review on my trusty Oculus Go. If your headset is different, you may get different results.

What is BabeVR?

BabeVR.com was started in 2017 by the people behind BadoinkVR. They had the idea of attracting performers who wouldn’t usually do boy/girl porn scenes by letting them perform with a plastic dummy torso or a sex toy. Their scenes are often solo performances with the dummy male torso “sex” in the second half of the scene. Is someone a pornstar if they just perform with a dummy? Or erotic performer? It’s an interesting idea, and something I haven’t seen before in VR porn. They are trying to make their own porn niche here, it seems!

BabeVr offers it virtual reality porn scenes for many different headsets from the PSVR, Vive, Gear VR and even the Google Daydream. They offer resolutions such as 3k, 4k and 7k. At the time of writing they don’t have 8k FYI, although unless you have a very top tier headset this won’t matter.

How Much is BabeVR?

It seems that BabeVR offers a permanent 30% discount at all times of the year at the time of writing. $24.95 a month is the same as all of Badoink’s other VR porn sites. I personally don’t know how they think they can charge the same for this as their fully fledged BadoinkVR site. Weird! As you will see below, this is not exactly a fully fledged site yet.

Weirdly, this was the only Badoink VR site that would show me any kind of membership pricing. As I am already signed up to the main BadoinkVR site, they showed me this pricing page instead.

$9.95 a month for members of other sister sites is not bad. In theory, you could sign up to all their sites for around $60 a month. This is within the realms of acceptability for membership pricing. However, the problem is I could only find this option on BabeVR. I went to other sister sites such as VRCosplayX and 18VR and couldn’t get a similar page. They still showed me the regular pricing page. Either this is an error on Badoink’s side or they operate different plans for different sites!! This is why I haven’t talked about membership pricing in those other reviews!

But hang on, if I go to the BadoinkVR site and click on the BabeVR tab, I get this…..

So if I directly click this $1 a day offer from the BadoinkVR site, it will renew at $19.95 a month and not the $9.95 I got by going directly!!

Badoink this is frankly a mess!! Please just make it so that all your sites have a $9.95 subscription option for current members. An option that is available at all times when clicking through from a sister site. We are loyal members. Why can’t you give us $1 trial and $9.95 a month after that??

What do we like about BabeVR?

Excellent VR Quality

Badoink has shown that they have an ability to pump out top quality VR porn with all their sites, and BabeVR is no exception. It is not at the god like clarity levels of Virtual Taboo, but it is pretty close. I would classify it as top tier quality and clarity levels. Badoink certainly knows their way around a VR camera rig!

Excellent Camera Angles

I found that the benefit of using a plastic dummy torso is the fact that it gives BabeVR more scope for camera positioning, as they don’t have one set of performers’ legs to worry about. This means they can get better angles for certain scenes, something I liked a lot. The camera angles used counted as one of my favorite points of this VR porn site as a whole.

Usual Badoink Quality

As with all the Badoink family of websites, they clearly have an excellent design team. The BabeVR.com site looks clean and well designed. The content is displayed very well and the search functions are excellent. The usual help articles are present and will help any newbie to VR porn. It is all you could want and more from a VR porn site.

Solo Action

If you like the idea of solo female scenes, this might be a good option for you (as it is quite rare to have so much of this content in one place). BabeVR really focuses in on this solo action, giving it a good amount of airtime before the dummy torso gets involved.

Short Subscription Offer

I am very happy that you don’t have to commit to a whole month in order to try out BabeVR.com. A one day trial subscription is a great way to test out what they have first. A lot of their competition refuse to have a trial, so its great to see here. On the flipside, I wish they had a lifetime offer for VR porn geeks like myself!

What don’t we like?

Dummy VR Porn?

I will say right at the start that this will be a matter of personal choice, as some viewers may feel the complete opposite than I do.

However, the way they have set up the performances with this dummy torso is plain weird for me. The performers are acting like it is a regular sex scene with live performers, usually starting with some dialogue. Throughout the scene the performer is usually ‘talking dirty’ in the way they would in a regular scene. I hope you don’t like cum shots either!! As technology is not far along enough to let plastic torsos do this!! ha ha. Although I did see a few scenes with fake cum shots at the end. As in the performer was masturbating the plastic torso at the end in the way they would with a live performer. Strange, right!!

I found this whole setup really weird and for me it actually made the whole plastic dummy torso thing worse!! You may feel differently, but for me they should make this site about performances with a plastic torso and forget all the dialogue, pretending they are still with a live performer. Maybe it’s just me!! I would love to know what you think in the comments section below.

Whats the point?

I personally don’t see the point of this type of VR porn, as the performers used here are not any better than other VR porn sites I use that do regular boy/girl scenes. I don’t find the performers ‘hotter’ or special in any way. I have even seen a few performers on here that I have seen doing full boy/girl scenes on other sites. This type of content should be part of a mainstream porn site, not sectioned out into its own one.

Lack of Content

At the time of writing, they have 81 videos on BabeVR.com. This is not a bad amount of videos, but it is growing rather slowly right now. They already had a slight hiatus period where they didn’t produce any new videos for a while. And, to make this worse, they don’t have date stamps on their videos (something they do have on their other sites). This feels like a cop out response when they know they are struggling to put out new content.

Should you subscribe to BabeVR?

If you are really into solo performances from female performers, you may like this type of VR porn solo scenes. However, you would have to be really into it to pay this amount of money a month only for this type of content.

Personally, I don’t like the approach they have to the dummy torso VR porn and it feels plain weird to me. I don’t want my female performers talking about a dummy torso like it is real lol! For me personally, this site is a hard pass.

The Badoink business model of dividing everything out into single sites seems to be failing here, as they are clearly struggling to put out content on BabeVR fast enough to warrant the slightly high price tag. This is the type of content they should have kept under the BadoinkVR stable and made that a better and more varied site.

This is why I find myself often switching on Virtual Taboo right now. They have the best clarity and have a massive variety of content for the price of just one of Badoink’s sites!! I feel like Badoink needs to rethink their strategy. It works for 2D porn, as you can churn that out fairly cheaply. But it’s not so easy for VR porn.
